Blessed to Bless

My mom is friends with this crazy lady named Dawn (crazy funny not crazy weird) and she has a blog called Dawn's Diversions well Dawn is on Facebook too and my mom saw a post about Blessed to Bless bags and she told me about it and I read this blog called Boyd's Crazy Mama which got the idea from Joy's Hope and it really inspired me to do more with my community besides the scarves, hats and sleeping mats, yes they are all nice and good but these bags are really GREAT!!!  So once I put the bags together I'm going to go out with my mom, dad and brother and we are going to pass them out to anyone that looks like they might need them plus we are making sandwiches to pass out too.  I'm also going to keep some in the car for when I see the people on the side of the road with the NEED HELP/WILL WORK FOR FOOD SIGNS. If you would like to help me then I'm looking for donations of the following:

Plarn mats for the homeless

My mom and I were on the internet looking for some ideas to help out the homeless.  We came across a bunch of different links of people that use plarn (plastic yarn) that is made out of plastic grocery bags.  It takes a long time to make these mats but if I start now I think we can make a bunch.  I'm going to try and have these made up to donate to a homeless shelter by June 2011 and of course we can just keep making them and donating them as we get them finished.

I need all of my friends and family to PLEASE start saving all your plastic Wal Mart, Reasors, Target, etc bags for me!

Here is a video if you are interested in making them or want to see what I'm talking about.

October and November fundraiser

This is my latest creation, a rainbow scarf and hat!

For the months of October and November I am selling scarves as a fundraiser and all money is going to be donated to a family that I'm very close to, they are adopting some children and I want to help their adoption fund.  Everyone knows that adoption is close to our families heart since my brother Kylan and I were both adopted from Sout Korea when we were babies.  All scarves not sold will be donated to a local homeless shelter, if you are interested in helping me crochet scarves for the homeless this year I would love to have your help.  I'm also crocheting hats for the homeless and woul love help with that too, if you need yarn I have some to get your started.  Please email me at punkymonkeymissions@cox.net to place an order or to help with crocheting!

Orphan for a night

I have a friend named Eythan and him and his dad are going to see what it feels like to be an orhpan for a night because his Uncle is helping hosting Orphan for a Night on Sept. 24th.  There are many, many children in the world right at this very moment that are orphans, they are cold, hungry, and scared so won't you please think about donating just $10 to this great foundation to help some orphans get the food, shelter and love that they need?

I have a review coming up very shortly with CSN Stores. They have so many things to choose from, I really can't decide what to choose! CSN Stores has amazing online stores where you can find everything from dining room sets, to back to school items and many, many more items!  They have over 200 stores to choose from!

I think since it's almost back to school time that I will review a backpack or something along those lines and then donate it to a school in our area, CSN has an awesome luggage store too, I'll let you know soon.  Please keep your eyes peeled for an upcoming post with my review!

What little girl wouldn't love this adorable backpack?

and what little boy wouldn't love a lego backpack?

This is one of the dining room set...something I think the adults would like but no matter who you are you can find something on CSN Stores website!

Baby Hats

This is Miss Dacia, she taught me how to crochet and also helped make baby hats!
I ♥ Miss Dacia!

My latest project has been crocheting baby hats for babies at Eastern Social Welfare Society in South Korea. This is where I was adopted from so I wanted to give back a little bit for everything they did for me, I'm hoping this will be a yearly project and that Miss Bev will take the hats for me every summer.
